Building a Library of Images for Everyone

Hey guys, A bunch of nice seamless moss images are ready that might work as building blocks for ground cover: TXR - GROUND https://soundimage.org/txr-ground/ I've also had requests for cartoon-style textures, mostly for 2D games and visual novels, so here's a start to that: TXR - BRICK - Cartoon https://soundimage.org/txr-brick-cartoon/ TXR - ROCK/STONE - Cartoon https://soundimage.org/txr-rockstone-cartoon/ TXR - WOOD - Cartoon https://soundimage.org/txr-wood-cartoon/ More new music tracks will be ready Wednesday as I continue my quest to provide looping versions of every track on my site, so be sure to check my other thread. Have a good week! 🙂

    Wacom Intuos Photo Tablet problems

Thanks Barry I have now used my Wacom on several images since I posted above and it has worked every time - so hopefully yes it is sorted. I had given up tailoring the pen/getting it to work in other ways because of the 'gripping' problem. So now need to invest some time in that😊☹️ NB sorry for delay in responding - I thought I had set the post to notify me of replies but either I got it wrong (most likely) or I missed it (almost as likely 😊)

    Sad News

I am sad to announce that Doreen Barbers husband Colin died last Saturday. I am always at a loss to know what to say that would be any consolation to Doreen and her family at this time, but I know she enjoys our forum and our company, so all we can do at this time is to make sure that continues and offer Doreen our condolences. I know doreen particularly liked the recent competition we ran, she said that it took her mind off things and she hopes we will run another at some stage. I think we can do that when Doreen is ready to join in the forum again. All I can say now is that our thoughts are with you.

Lithman I found you too, but a group is a bit different to a personal space I think. As far as I know you can belong to a group and link pictures from your own Flickr site to the group. I had some connection with a group like that once

I like the sound of your photo group Lithman. No need for a committee, competitions etc. and I bet you don't have too many rules either!

It looks like I have a Flickr a/c I belonged to a group years ago that is now defunct. I have updated this a/c added some new images, and changed the name to lithman34 I haven't a clue how to use the site I have just entered everything into public viewing. How do I view other peoples images unless I know their a/c name?

Why haven’t you got a Flickr account. Quick and easy way to present your images.

    before/after

No I am not a club member, I haven't entered any compitition for years, I do have a small group of 6 we are all enthusiasts, we just view our latests images , and exchange ideas and I help out with photoshop. I even retired from the RPS many years ago as there didn't seem much point living in Spain. No body else ever sees any of my images they just sit on the PC.

I think the rays in your last shot work pretty well. Are you going to place the image before a judge and see what comments are made? I can’t now recall if you’re a club member or not.

    Exposure & Contrast

Well fair play to you, I think it can sometimes induce a little self-doubt when you ti over conventional thinking; expose for the shadows etc. The thought process brings the idea and the work examples certainly bring the whole thing nicely into context.

    Wacom Intuos Photo Tablet problems

Elines It is one of those small changes with a big effect. Back in the old days of Wacom when they were the only tablet there was never any issues with software. Now with all the tablet options in Windows and the touch screens, I guess we are seeing a few. I have been well used to them over the years, but still got tripped up for while when I started using W10. The option I always used to go to in W7 (windows Ink) was moved, but from my perspective, not knowing it had moved. I thought it had been removed completely. Now it appears in Wacom's setup If your pen is working right now, then it will continue to do so

360/Morturn Thanks for the feedback, it was very welcome because I wasn't too sure about this video after I made it. I suppose a little self doubt isn't all bad

    Wacom Intuos Photo Tablet problems

I finally got around to having a browse through the forum and came across this thread. I have great hope that it has solved a problem that I have had with my Wacom tablet ever since I had it for a Christmas present about 2 or 3 years ago (following the setting up of my new PC running Windows 10.) I have always had a problem with the Wacom pen not 'gripping' sliders (for example). I also gave up trying to use the pen tool because of this lack of 'grip'. I have followed the advice on the 'tick' and removed it. I then tested 'grip' and in every case - with sliders and the pen tool - that I tried, 'grip' was perfect. I hope this continues over the coming days when I will be able to give it a more thorough test - hence my 'great hope'☺️ So I hope I am not being premature in saying 'Thankyou' - at the very least it seems that removing the tick can do no harm and only good.
