  2. Constructive observation: I did find a menu item about your software.... noticed it takes about 3 - 4 seconds to move around your site... loading page to next page... Dave's AXIOM: The internet travels at the speed of light only to be slowed down by slow server or in between routers, copper wire, switches etc. Our internet connection is fiber and our speed is 1 GigaBit (1000 mbps). And it is 10:57am Central Texas Time Zone --5 GMT 24 April 2019.
  3. Looks like the new WordPress site is asking for donations in exchange for your tutorials Barry. Is this possible or are you just testing and constructing the website still?
  4. New cartoon-style texture images are ready here: TXR – BRICK - Cartoon https://soundimage.org/txr-brick-cartoon/ TXR – CONCRETE / PAVEMENT - Cartoon https://soundimage.org/txr-concrete-pavement-cartoon/ TXR – GROUND – Cartoon https://soundimage.org/txr-ground-cartoon/ TXR – METAL – Cartoon https://soundimage.org/txr-metal-cartoon/ TXR – WOOD – Cartoon https://soundimage.org/txr-wood-cartoon/ I hope some of them come in handy!
  5. Yeah, I would have liked to have seen the series of images, its a chance to then contextualise them.
  6. I really liked the double portraiture by Sam Robinson but cannot make up my mind if I would prefer the second face to be in focus. No doubt the photographer meant it to be that way. Mickp
  7. Yes, that's the only one that caught my eye too. To me, all of the others did not seem to have any subject, relying only on the authors narrative, which was a bit wish wash weasel wordy.
  8. I felt that the cabin with the icy power network was fairly good, although not exceptionally so, but cant understand why anyone would even submit the rest. Perhaps perception is age related. Why don't you enter next year, Barry? Paul
  9. Just seen this press release by the Association of Photographers: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/in-pictures-47968338 Enjoy

Hi Barry, Thanks for the update on your forum issues. Done as you suggested and all is well. Thank you. Great to see you and Carol last week. Sorry to hear the latest regarding Carol. Back problems as we all know can take a while to resolve so fingers crossed. The flights home were surprisingly better than I could have wished for. We both had room to lie down on empty seats for the 14 hour flight and I managed to sleep for a few hours although Alex always sleeps regardless. Came back to a very cold ( for us anyway) England on Tuesday but today is somewhat warmer with a promising Easter wk/end. See you next time in Buderim. Regards to you both Anthony
  13. Ah, well that's a great response. How can I argue with that 😁
  14. Hey guys, Here are this week’s new tracks. Free to use with attribution. Enjoy! 8-BIT ANTICS – Maybe for a cute retro-2D game? Or something else? https://soundimage.org/chiptunes-3/ THE ANT HILL GANG SADDLES UP AGAIN – And they’re off…the most incompetent gang to ever (attempt to) ride across the west. They’ll probably get lost. Anyhow, this might be fun in a comedic western-themed piece. https://soundimage.org/funny-6/ TECHNO RANDOMNESS – Unlike many of my tracks that are built layer by layer, this one was done “live” (in real-time) by improvising with two of my synths at the same time. Perhaps useful in some kind of wacky technology-based puzzle game? https://soundimage.org/puzzle-music-4/ DYSTOPIAN SUNSET – Perched atop a mile-high structure, the machine-being stares out over the shimmering grid, wondering what the night will bring. https://soundimage.org/sci-fi-7/
  15. I have used apps before to actually download a you tube video, to allow it to be shown in a location where there is no internet connection. I have a hard time deleting AV 's from you Barry because I know how much effort you put into making them.

Not enough hair to get a hold of 😪
  17. Most of the time I watch slide shows on youtube, on the rare occasion I have downloaded a MP4 only to view it later or if I would like to watch it again, also I have previously copied and saved the link from youtube to view later. I always save slide shows and images to external drives so not to block up my computer😃

Thank you Barry. Glad you didn't give up..You've still got a bit of hair to pull out😨
  19. There’s another issue that is in the back of my mind for why clicking and playing is popular. I’m assuming others would share this view, but perhaps they are far too polite to say it out loud. You an instantly stop a show too. 😁 This is the route I’m taking. Not only will all my shows be Mp4’s but I won’t bother posting a file for download at all. Tinion. You can delete files you know 😂
  20. Having the link to play an A/V in the web page is probably my first choice, it if lots are viewing at the same time it could slow down the hosting server to a crawl or crash. Having the option to go to Youtube means that the A/V is probably hosted on several servers thus avoiding the first scenario. The option to download means I can clog up my hard drive with AV 's I will probably watch once or twice. 😉
  21. Another busy weekend, but I managed to get some more fantasy textures done. You’ll find them here: TXR – BRICK https://soundimage.org/txr-brick/ TXR – ROCK/STONE 2 https://soundimage.org/txr-rockstone-2/ I’ll have a bunch of cool new music tracks coming out on Wednesday so be sure to check my music thread. Enjoy!
  22. When I view a YouTube video through my own web page it only plays 720 on the iPad, the same video plays at 1080 on YouTube. They have an option that says. Not seeing all quality options? When you click it, it tells you some browsers don’t support the quality, but then lists the one browser (safari) I’m using as good.
