If we ran a forum competition what do members want

1. Just detailed critiquing and no marks and no winners

2. Just critiquing and marks out of 10/20

3. Set Subjects or completely Open subjects (open recommended)

4. Just a straight competition, 1st, 2nd 3rd etc, no critiquing

Or any other ideas not listed

A few years a go you used to do a 1st, 2nd and 3rd competition. The always attracted a few images. Although I do like the idea of etailed critiquing and no marks and no winners

My vote is for an open subject, and detailed critique. I'm sitting on the fence re marks and winners, I'm undecided on whether they bring something of value to the competition in general and the participants in particular.

I'm in  favour for an open subject, detailed critique with marks as previously, maybe a 1st 2nd and 3rd winner would be more time consuming, if I remember rightly there were a few members with 10 points in the previous competition, this could be harder to judge a final winner. I would welcome the idea of the first 3 finalist names it would be a great boost to them and their photography.

Detailed Critique seems to be unanimous, but a bit of a split with regard marks or no marks
