I’ve been working on a completely new set of videos trying to touch on most ways to make selections in Photoshop. There are quite a number !

I am up to 17 videos and probably need 3-4 more to finish the set. It was not till I started this project and referred back to the older one that I appreciated how this subject is moved on, especially via select and mask.

The task has helped me get better with fine detail like hair and also coping with fringing. The issues are the obvious ones. No two images are the same, so there is no one size fits all approach.

I do notice that those who demo these ideas on YouTube always pick out the easiest images to cope with. No problem with that, but I bet that leaves some people a little frustrated that they cannot repeat what they saw.

Yes Barry I agree as good as P.S.C.C. is it cannot do miracles.

I have been learning to use Clipping Masks since purchasing your tutorial Complex Selections using Channels after the cut out I create a clipping mask, with hair I use the clone tool to fill fringing areas of the hair.
